I will tell you how I did it with Jasmine. I bought a plastic box from walmart about 4" tall. I had to cut a hole in the side (Jasmine was about 12oz when we started she is now just a little over 1 lb ). Then I put a puppy pad in it. We was crate training at the time. Everytime she came out of the crate she was put in the box and not let out till she went. After eating back to the box. After playing back to the box. If she started sniffing to the box she was.
I would say with in 2 weeks she was going to the box 95% of the time by her self. I was surprised how fast she picked it up. You just have to stay with it the same as you do when you are training them to go out side.
If yours is already trained to go out maybe when she goes to the door you could just take her to the box. Good luck. |
