The boys wear coats. They are velcro and go on and off easily. I would like to get some boots because sometimes they get out to the other side of the yard and just stop because their little paws are so cold. I never leave them out for longer than just to potty and breathe some fresh air when it's really cold. (or any other time for that matter). Mine are potty pad trained. I use washable potty pads. I'm sorry I have no experience with litter boxes, but lots of experience with cold winters.
