Sounds like if sweet little Bailee could talk, he would probably shock us all! There's no telling what that baby had been through before he came to live with you!! You are indeed a good person to have given him such a wonderful home!
Our Toto has never, ever been mistreated but most of the time she almost jumps out of her skin if you make a sudden move or sound. I can only think it's due to the quiet life that we lead. If she knows that we have to leave her for a few minutes, she just slinks around and hides and everything like we have given her a beating or something!! It breaks our hearts but I can assure you that this little Prima Donna has never, ever been mistreated. The worse thing we do to her is occasionally have to leave her alone for a little while and she has to stay in her X-pen with every comfort imaginable!! Go figure!!
