I think there are many breeders that would have refunded the $1,500 ( full price) for the pup and let her keep the pup. ( myself included) As a breeder, I would also feel very fortunate to have found a owner that loved this pup so much that she was willing to keep the pup, and pay the large vet bills, and spend the time helping the pup recover, to give this puppy a great life. Bleu is a very lucky dog to have a mom like you !
