Very true ... I suppose I should have clarified - Oscar's cotton-ish coat is enough work as it is, and takes me 20 minutes or so a day to keep him properly groomed. I know every dog's coat is different, but it would be a nightmare for me if it got any longer. We're outside a lot, and the weather is pretty crappy on a regular basis. The idea of him frolicking through the mud in a long coat gives me the shudders.
Plus, the puppy coat is extremely cute.
