I think it depends on the temperment of your dog. If i raise my voice at Layla that is often enough because she is a very sensitive girl. When she gets barking and needs to stop.. i pick her up and turn her over and hold her down and say NO... today that didn't work (she's been VERY bad lately with barking) so i used Ceasar's method and pushed her into submission by pushing down on her shoulders... and that really worked today.. she was in my lap waiting in the car so i'm sure it didn't go "perfect" but it made her stop and she kinda looked at me like.. woah.. mom.. so sorry!
