This morning I was getting Noah ready for school when I heard a "clack, clack" sound coming from the dining room. When I went to take a look I saw that Kalina had gotten ahold of Noah's Hermit Crab and was tossing it around. Every time she tossed it it would drop to the hardwood floor "clack"; whereupon she'd pounce on it and pick it up again, shake it, throw it in the air. Repeat.
I knew that if I tried to take the Hermit Crab from her, Kalina would run - so I pretended that I was just walking past her and into the kitchen, but she had me figured out. She put the entire Hermit Crab in her mouth and started running around like a crazy thing - I couldn't catch her. My daughter heard the commotion and came down and between the two of us we cornered her and pried her mouth open and took out the Hermit Crab. It was still alive. Kalina loved her new "game".
