I know it flies in the face of EVERYTHING you read about crates, but when ours are being "boisterous" meaning, they won't stop barking, or jumping, or just quiet down in general, we tell them to get in their kennels. They get in, and we may or may not close the door. They associate kennel with "quiet time", and know not to step on paw out until we tell them to.
When they do other things (biting at each other, bullying), just a stern NO! always works for us. |
