Right on!!! Tell hubby the "rat" comment wasn't funny the first time and sure as heck isn't getting any better. You can't force him to like them, but he can at least stop the obnoxious remarks. What's that saying about "Things said in jest?" It doesn't apply all of the time but when someone won't let a "joke" die, you have to wonder. My cousin calls my Maltese the "fairy dog" and I just ignore him. Now his GF has a Chihuahua, so I get to tease him.
