I also don't see how this is possible. I've never seen a dog at a shelter that had an adoption fee of $1,000 unless said dog had certain medical procedures performed.

I'm, personally, not "stuck" with any vet bills. People on here have been/are though and it's definitely something that could still possibly happen in your or whoever's dog's future. My point was that if they can't afford the initial price then how are they going to afford it if something were to happen whether it be an accident or something that is passed from the parents. Things DO happen which you should already see since you think your dog is pregnant.

Anyway, I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just trying to advise you as you DID come on here and post in a public forum your situation. Let me add, a public forum where mostly everyone is strongly opinionated on the betterment and safety of the breed and animals in general.
