My male was a year old last month. He has the same coloring (or similar!) as you mention. His head, chest and legs are golden, with some silver on top of his head. But his back and down the tops of his legs are jet black - unless he's in the sun, when - if the light's
just right - he has a chestnut cast to some areas of it.
Bella will be a year old next month, and her coat hasn't begun to change yet, either. Just her head ...
