I think this is a great reminder! As far as a breeder being willing to change their contract to suit a buyers needs, I don't see where that would be a problem IF both parties were in agreement. If it's something that they just cannot see eye to eye on, then that is when you know it is not a good breeder to owner match.
I think that as a buyer, it's a definate MUST to have a good idea of what you want out of the purchase agreement and you shouldn't settle for less. I always volunteer a copy of my agreement waaay in advance so that the interested party can look it over and consider it at their own pace. Then if they have questions or concerns that require it to be changed here and there, that is fine.
