I've always had my females spayed before they came into their first heat so I've not personal experience that I can share. However, I have been around females in heat and understand that they can feel much the same way as we do. Cranky, bloated, icky, uncomfortable. So that could be what's going on. It's probably a good thing to get her checked out, that way you'll know for sure the next time. Poor baby.
