I agree Villette. We've had maybe in total 2wks worth of nice "summer" weather here in the UK and now winter has just decided to come and hit hard. Last week we had thunderstorms, rained nearly 24/7 for days, floods in some areas, torrential rain warnings for people driving.
I remember when I left school, (gosh, 10years ago now, I suddenly feel old!), and I was on study leave for my exams. That summer was SO hot, me and my friends would lay in the garden and do our studying because it was just TOO hot to be indoors.
My goddaughter, who is 7, said to be part way through their summer school break, "What's the point in us having time off if we just have to stay in while it rains" Guess she prefers being in school cuz she can play with her friends all day and rain doesn't put a stop to that. I think for xmas I will buy her a long rain mac and some wellies!
