I hope you can spend some time on Yorkietalk learning about finding a good breeder, and educate your friends and sister about this. Welcome to YorkieTalk! |
I won't get started about my sister since she "breeds" dogs for profit and kinda brokers them. That's how I got my Shadow. She bought him from a "breeder" for $250 and was trying to resell him when she came and visited for $400. I fell in love with the little guy and paid only $275. She even tried to get me to buy a female so I could breed them and make some money. I told her no way do I want to have to worry about pups. Then she tried to get me to let her use him as a stud every now and then and well I hate to break it to her but as soon as his adult teeth finish coming in (to be able to pull teeth if needed) he's getting nuetered.
Do I agree with her practices NO! But I will say she does take them to the vet and vaccinates when needed to they are taken care of health wise. Kennels are cleaned everyday but I don't agree with breeding for profit. Those babies need love and attention. I've tried to tell her to pick one breed and work on making it the best she can but she won't listen. I'm still working on her so maybe one of these days I can make her see the injustice of what she is doing with these babies lives.
