I don't know what her ideal weight is, but two extra pounds on a dog who should weigh eight pounds is like a woman who should weigh 125 pounds weighing 160 pounds.
Lady was two pounds overweight when she was diagnosed with diabetes. Then she
had to lose weight. I had been carefully measuring the food I was giving her, but didn't count all the high calorie treats she got all day long.
Frozen green beans slightly thawed did the trick for Lady. For a treat I put them in her Busy Buddy Twist and Treat and she loved it!
