Two pounds overweight is obese in a Yorkie. That would definitely explain why he doesn't want to play. It also puts him at risk for knee and other joint problems, diabetes and heart disease.

I learned this the hard way when my Lady was two pounds overweight and became diabetic at age 6.5. She has to get insulin injections twice a day for the rest of her life, not to mention all the other issues that come along with being diabetic.

Please try to get your dogs down to a healthy weight so that they can live a long, healthy life.
