Tootsy is absolutely terrified of having her nails trimmed to the extent that nobody has been able to trim them for months now. I am getting desperate about it. The vet gave me a sedative for her and I took her in to have them trimmed, but, although she was stumbling around with the effect of the sedative, she was still able to fight so hard that three people could not hold her still enough for the vet to be able to trim her nails!!? What am I going to do about this. I have got her used to me holding her paws, but, as soon as she sees the nail clippers or a nail file, she runs for her life. She is so frightened by nail clipping that she runs from the room barking and growling, if any of us cut or trim OUR nails! I am at a loss as to what to do. Any suggestions?
