 Play bites my wife, but not me
So we picked up our yorkie about 2 weeks ago and he's 14 weeks old. He's gotten in the habit of play biting with my wife. He won't do it with me, we think it's maybe because I ignore him when he does it. But she has a hard time resisting him and will get down and play with him which is when he starts biting.
It's a play bite, but it's left bruises and marks up and down her arms. How do we stop this? We've tried the "yelping" thing to make him think she's like another dog that he's bitten to hard, but no luck. We've also tried substituting her arm immediately for a toy, but still no luck.
He will bite me on occasion, but I grab him by the nose and tell him no and he always stops.
Any advice to play biting? |
