Lol, like poop doesn't taste nasty enough. Actually how pineapple works is through an enzyme action. The dog smells undigested protein in the poop, and it smells good to him. The pineapple works by helping to digest this protein so that the resulting poop has no nutrition left in it. Meat tenderizer works in much the same way. I would take a look at the food I was feeding to make sure it contains an easy to digest protein as well.
Another reason for Coprophagia (poop eating) in dogs is that they have been scolded harshly for pooping in the wrong place, and want to hide the evidence. Here's a link that has more information: and what you can do about it.
