Yes it could be SARD or glaucoma or cataract or an eye infection gone bad or
Diabetes as well. There are lots of reasons.

Take the dog to a vet and ask to be see an Board Certified Veterinary Ophthalmologist and then go look up blind dogs group at Yahoo. This group will be very helpful with info.
