Wrigley is like that. We used to confine her in a regular playpen and put a small crate in there and she would jump and jump and cry. It was pitiful!
She does have the run of the house now and at first she was chewing on windowsills and even drywall!
Now she will lay with Crosley on the steps, but she still paces and watches for someone to come home.
She has been like that from puppy stage though and we tried leaving music, tv, etc.. and nothing changed it. I think she's just so attached, especially to my Mother and is lost!
I think where we went wrong. My Mother is home most of the time and we should have from the time she was a puppy started leaving her for shorter periods of time and getting her used to that, I'm guessing!
Now we don't make a fuss when we leave or come home and that has seemed to help some. We always feel bad ignoring her, but we wait until she calms down. She used to do the honking noise really bad and that has become less too.
Has Macey ever been crated? That's one thing I wish we had done was to crate her, she's crated when she sleeps, but I think she would have benefited from a smaller space.
