I think if you really want to start your own business you should go for it!

From my experience, the only downfalls have been --

1. Advertising -- For me at least, I found that it was very slow going with finding ways to advertise my business and find my target audience. I still struggle with that now, continuing to grow. There are many places I would love to advertise, but with the high cost and with myself being still a small, home run business those funds are difficult to come up with.

2. Start up Income -- I found I had to shell out thousands of dollars out of pocket for supplies to get my designs started and that was hard in the beginning when I had no sales and also wasn't working so I had to move more slowly than usual. I'm sure this changes depending on what you need to begin, so for you this might not be an issue.

Those were/are the two biggest issues for me as a small business owner, but the love of the work is what keeps me in it and I continue to take business classes and read books to hopefully keep expanding. I wish though, that when I started, I knew that it would not make me money for a long while. It took me a long time to even make back what I had spent initially.

But if your heart is really in it and you are willing to weather the ups and downs of the financial issue (in the beginning), I think you should get your sales license and start up your business! You should always follow your dreams I say
