You have come to the right place. Welcome! We have a 7 y/o female. She has never had a problem with separation anxiety, and although she does bark, we could control it better if we worked harder. Honestly, we have trained her pretty well, but we didn't do the best job we could have. All that being said, she is a WONDERFUL companion and we love her very much. We take her with us on vacations, and I take her to work with me occasionally. She likes to sleep on the comfy chair in my office.
She learned several tricks in a very short time (sit up, dance, roll over, play dead, shake hands) so I know she could learn anything if we hung in there better.
