Hi! Welcome to YT. Like Bleu Boy's mom, I learned so much from this site AFTER I got my Yorkie. I wished many times I had found it sooner, so you are way ahead of the game!! I think it's wonderful for kids to grow up with dogs, but I agree 18 months is a little bit young. Only because I know how much work an 18 month old baby is to keep out of things.
A yorkie puppy is in a sense alot like an 18 month old baby, only worse sometimes 'cause you can't put diapers on them..hehe
Definitely wait till the baby is old enough to understand how to treat a living puppy AND knows that the "presents" puppies leave aren't a snack. |
