If it was just diarrhea I would recommend feeding plain cooked rice and a tiny bit of canned pumpkin (not pie filling, 100% pumpkin, it's in the baking aisle) BUT with vomitting too I would go to the vet. One or the other and I'd do a wait and see, but *both* is concerning. There are just doggy viruses out there that are like what we get and last a couple days, so if they are certain that she did not get into anything and she is at least drinking water, I'd not try to feed her anything if she refuses to eat it.
I dunno the pepto thing scares me because of the "extra" ingredients. You need to call the vet to get the dosage anyway. Call any ER vet that is open and they will give you the dosage. The only problem is that like, when do we need pepto? When we overindulge or eat greasy food... dogs don't really do that unless they get into something. If they have persistent diarrhea, they have it for a reason and you have to find out what that is. |
