Smile Anal glands another possibility?

Sounds like he could be needing his anal glands expressed, too. Has he ever had that done? Groomers are supposed to empty them when bathing, but vets also do it. If it gets impacted, you can have serious problems. If your dog ever scoots around, it's most likely the anal glands. As a pet stylist, I found that most people are not aware of this. Anyway, it's worth checking into.
