I know that some breeders don't feed the dog before shipping, so he may be pretty empty and not have eaten enough to make a good poo. Is his stomach distended or hard? The vet exam should have caught this if there was a serious problem.

Try feeding a little white rice mixed with a little chicken baby food, or small pieces of roasted chicken (no skin). See if he will eat a larger quantity. If nothing by tomorrow afternoon, I'd call the vet.
