Royal Canin has many different varieties, and at least two different puppy foods that I know of. They also have breed specific formulas for adult dogs, as well as allergy formulas for special needs.

Most dog foods say on the bag to make the switch anywhere from 6 to 8 months. Puppy food also has more calories than adult food, and is sometimes given to pregnant moms.
