Ha, funny you should ask. I got myself sooooo prepared for the whelping day...had ALL my supplies right where I needed them. The first pup arrived and I threw on some gloves, but in the end I very soon discarded them as unnecessary. Don't remember if it was because I had no time to put them on and take them off as pups arrived AND/OR if I just decided I didn't need them. The "Ewwww" factor was slim to none once the miracle of birth began.
