Well, I was going to say what a great idea, and esp. since you know what being in the military is all about, but if you had to be gone a lot, it might be really tough.

I just think the benefits are so great and the retirement and everything is something not to ignore. I wish I'd done it when I started out in nursing; I was just such a scaredy cat at having to leave home.....dumb! But I didn't have children either.

You do have the advantage of knowing the system though and it seems like a great opportunity~ there's always give and take for every situation though. And it helps to go into something like this with the right attitude and no reservations, b/c it's a big commitment, like you say.

Are there any scholarships you might be eligible for at the school you're going to?
