Katie was 14 months when we got Suzi. We've had her 8 weeks. At first if Suzi went near her food bowl Katie would growl. Now they share bowls. They playfight all the time, but Katie is obviously the dominent one up to now, Suzi was used to a big Yorkie family though so sticks up for herself.. Katie likes her space in bed and if Suzi get's too close she growls, but all in all they get on pretty well.
I think it mostly takes time.
