What I am saying is yes your hurt but turn it around and have it work for you.. tell the nieghbours you been made aware there is a problem and are working on it.
Ask them to watch and see if they see any cause from outside to the reason the dog is barking a noise or a person bugging the dog. A dog walking by setting your dog off. Mailman, metor readers can be a big cause.

Take this as a chance to help your dog< If it is barking that much is stressing and stress kills. You now have a chance to fix it drop the stress level and make the dog more comfortable.

I don't think they are stressed out, if anything they are playing or barking at passers by.
