I know she went out for 3 months. I said 6 months before...but now I'm thinking it was less. I have no clue when she'll have to be on board again. The biggest difference I can think of...between her situation and yours. She's single with no children.

I have no idea how many Naval hospitals there are...but you'd probably need to realize you would be stationed at one of those. My friend's daughter is fortunate...because she's stationed at the Navy Hospital in Portsmouth, VA...which is just a few miles from her home. Her hours at work are mind boggling though...with a child...you'd have to consider who would watch her if hubby was working too.

If you could get a recruiter to answer you truthfully...meaning not fudge the truth on where you would go and sea duty...then you'd could make an informed decision whether this is something you wish to do.
