I just watched a segment from "Me & My Dog" that was dealing with a barking dog. She would bark at the front door...well the trainer would act like she was opening the door and when the dog would bark she would say, "quite" and move her hands in a quite command, which was crossing them in front of her like in a "No" command. Than when the dog quit barking she would praise her and give her a treat. Seemed to work. Just a thought.
