I am posting to see if anyone has been through this with their yorkie. My cousin is frantic about her male yorkie who is very healthy, happy and fit. Just lately he has been having a cough and she decided to bring him in for a checkup. When he went to the vet, he checked out great and it seemed like a simple case of a narrowed trachea. But the vet said just case he wanted to do some blood work and an xray. The bloodwork came out perfect but he has a shadow on his xray near his lung. The vet said it was a possible tumor that looks about 6 months in the making. He said if left unattended he will have only 6 months to live. He said even if it's benign it should be removed. She is devastated! I thought I would come here to get some advice or thoughts and hopefully someone can share an experience with hope. We have all been so upset and have been searching the internet and asking all our dog owner friends for some insight. She is getting a second opinion and has an appointment for a radiologist to get a CatScan next week.
