Glad everything's okay! When I had cats and had to give them pills I used to wrap them up tight in a large towel so only their head is poking out. Hold them securly under my arm and with that hand gently prise open their mouth. Use the free hand to pop the pill at the back of their tongue then hold their mouth closed. Use my fingers to gently stroke their throat in a downwards direction til they swallowed. It never took long to get them down and neither them or I would get hurt. Sometimes it helps to rub a little cod liver oil or butter on the pill so it slides down better. Good luck
