Yes, it's done for security reasons.
Interesting. I know she wasn't taken from her mommy early at all. I went and visited when she was 8 weeks and we didn't bring her home until she was a couple days shy of 12 weeks old. I know that Martha did a great job with her puppies-they all seemed happy, healthy and well taken care of in the few times we went to see them.

I almost think it's kind of like thumb sucking for children...she only does it at night, and only with one toy (we have duplicates of the same one). It's never been a problem, and she seems so happy with her cupcake that we just let her enjoy herself. Should I take the cupcakes away?
