I was walking Sophie on the dam near our house tonight, and when we were ready to go home, I saw a couple coming up the hill with a lab puppy that was probably about 8-10 mos old. The dog was excited and jumping around, and he probably was getting excited about seeing another dog (mine). Well, the man was obviously trying to train the dog to sit and stay, but every time the puppy moved, he slapped it in the face. I walked by and had to say something (I don't know why I can't keep my mouth shut). I said "Dogs respond better to kindness." The man grabbed the dog and said "This isn't my first dog!!" Well, I feel sorry for all of his poor dogs!
