Just my thoughts -

You are definitely doing the right thing by having Trixie spayed. I did a lot of research and weighed the pros and cons. After I read that females that aren't spayed and won't be bred have a much higher risk of mammary and ovarian cancer - that made up my mind. If you and your vet feel that Trixie is physically able to handle the procedure - you're doing the best for her.

I can't really comment on leaving her overnight, though. When Maddie will be fixed in October, my vet's office has Vet Tech's that are there overnight to montior.

Hope all goes well and you and Trixie will be in my thoughts!
