Some people use baby shampoo on their dogs, and are happy with it. If your dog is kept in a short cut it may make no difference. The high acid content of shampoos meant for humans can over time make a dogs hair look fried because their skin and hair has a higher alkaline content. I recommend using a good conditioner, also, and follow with a through rinsing. Rinsing thoroughly is an important step that many people overlook.
