I find that if I really tire Gracie Ruth out first that she'll sit better for the trimmings. A long walk and some fetch usually does the trick. Then just patiently working with her to accept the trimmers. A little trim, a treat, lots of praise and even more fetch if needed. She's getting better about her ears, I can do them without assistance now. But still need help for the booty area. But it's just to help hold her still because I don't want to risk nicking her. She doesn't squirm much at all any more.
