Sampson is always the "last Yorkie standing." I was dog-sitting last week, so I had three in addition to my two. I work at home, so the dogs get a lot of activity all throughout the day. At night, all the other four dogs were down and Sampson was still humping the teddy bear, playing with the ball, checking out the yard, etc. for hours. And that was with a 45-minute walk early evening. That's typical for Sampson.
He naps a bit during the day, but just can't seem to get enough activity. I've hiked 5 miles with that dog up mountains here in Colorado, and he's only 6 pounds. I feed him twice what his big sister gets and still can't put any weight on him. I'd put him in agility, but I don't have the time or the money.
My Daisy though is down if there's nothing going. She'll nap all day and still go to bed early. Maybe the energy is a boy thing.
