I too would hate staying home. Canyon is also one of those yorkies that will whimper, cry, bark and spaz out if he can't see me or be in the same vicinity as me. He's been that way since day one also when I brought him home at 12 weeks. First day back to work after getting him I gated him in my laundry room with all his needs and wants (except me) in the laundry room with him. Came home to a chewed up door frame and wood shavings all over the laundry room. I've had to crate him while I'm at work - he's in a 30 X 19 X 21 inch wire crate with toys/food/water and potty pad at the back. I also leave the television on and he can see it and hear it from his crate. I feel bad that he can't have a little room to roam like he would have in the laundry room and he's only 4 1/2 months and certainly can't have run of the house, so unfortunately he's crated. It's all you can do. I do come home to one spastic screaming puppy that takes a good 5 mins to get him calmed down.
