Spike has an Everlasting Treat Ball, which he loves. He also has another favorite toy, which is an empty water bottle filled with kibble. I fill a 500 mL water bottle about 1/3 full, and he'll bat it around the room, roll it, and try to tip it to get the kibble out. It keeps him busy for hours, and it's how I give him his dinner. You could try it with small treats or something cut up if kibble doesn't motivate them.
Just a note, though. It did take Spike a little while to play with it on a regular basis. For the first little while he wasn't particularly interested. Now he can't stop playing with the thing. |
