Cooper is almost 8 months old and has been neutered. But I still cannot get him potty trained. I have read every thread on here, AND I MEAN EVERY THREAD!!! That pertains to training.
I know that Yorkies are a little slower to train than other dogs. BUT this is getting rediculus. We take him out every 2 hours and he refuses to pee or poop outside.
He will come in and within 10 min. pee or poop or both in the house.
Sometimes he does it by the door which makes me wonder if he is kinda getting it. BUT my house smells like a Kennel.
I have severe Rheumatoid Arthritis and my DH is handicapped as well and we just can't clean our rugs every week.
I am thinking of putting up the Xpen again. He is crated most of the time when we are not watching him but at this point we would like to have him around us more.
My grown daughter is living here for a short time and will be leaving the end of the month. She is no support and always yells at me about "my dog" I know that consistancy is the key but when she leaves I am going to put his Xpen back up and pad train him again. IT was so much easier to just wash the floor inside the Xpen and not all the carpets. Do you think it is too late to go back to the pads since he isn't going outside 90% of the time anyway?
I feel like such a failure. I have never had this trouble with a dog before.
Please help me someone?
