Oh what a smile these posts brought to my eyes. I know this sounds strange but I take comfort in knowing that other yorkies bark as much, and at the same things, as Lexi does. I tried the pennies in the can thing and that worked well for a while. As soon as I stopped taking it because I thought she was all cured, the barking started again. And now she doesn't care about the can noises. So then I turned to a squirt bottle. That worked for about 10 minutes. I think however, that the squirt gun might work better as it's a stream and not a mist (don't know why I didn't think of that). And the canned air - what genius! I'll have to try that. I'm desperate! She is so noisy on walks and my husband and I would enjoy them and go more often for longer ones once we can cure her of this obsession. Good luck to you! Keep us all posted. |
