I guess without blood work, I'm a *little concerned* with recommending too much protein, but - the toddler food that worked for Marcel when his tummy was bad were those little Mini Hot Dogs (for toddlers) in the glass jars (by the baby food) - I'd mush them up and he LOVED them, even if he wasn't feeling well. So, that may be something to try too. Babyfood is worth a try - though I know my guys never were too fond of it, but every dog is different. |
She did eat about a 1/4 of a teaspoon of food a little bit ago, I know she needs to eat more than that. The vet said he had some different medicine for her that he gave to my mother when she took her dogs there today for their shots so I will see what he is sending and let you know. He did say that if needed syringe baby food down her to make sure she eats but stop if she starts throwing it up.
Do you recommend any test that I should have him try??? She was 1.9 lbs yesterday and 12 weeks old. She has always ate good and this is the first problem that I have had with her. The vet did say that if she was not showing more signs of improvement then he would do blood work but I don't know what he will be looking for.
Thanks so much!!
