I don't know how others feel about this, but I'd much rather be on a flight with a dog crying than a baby crying. It's been years since I've been on a flight that didn't have a screaming baby on it as well. My guess about that is that the altitude bothers their ears as it does mine, and of course crying is their only way of communicating when they don't like something.
