I found your site while looking for the answer to the above question.
I was going over my vet bill and found a $52.00 charge for Ova/Par-Giardia 405 1yr.

I had taken my 14 year old cat to the vet to see why she was losing weight.
Just paid the bill and came home.

I can call my vet but wondered if you had received an answer to this question.
